Peter is expert in strategic consulting on business plans and business model design. His domain includes strategic legal consulting in conducting complex sets of litigations, company takeovers, negotiations of contractual documentation and personal representation of clients in courts of all levels including the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic. In his extensive professional career he gained substantial experience and knowledge in all areas of law; company law, shareholders’ disputes, contractual law, competition law, M&A agenda, public procurement, software and intellectual property law. His expertise includes real estate law where he participated on many important acquisitions. He has wide-ranging experience solving complex sets of disputes including IT/IP and labour law and he successfully represented clients in front of the Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic.

In the past he also participated in the following cases: legal advice for Home Credit Slovakia on acquiring a loan of 60 mil. EUR, legal advice for Airport Bratislava, a.s. on acquiring a loan of 45 mil. EUR,, legal advice for Czech Export Bank on loan restructuring in the amount of 165 mil. EUR, legal advice for ČEZ on acqusition of photovoltaic power plant, legal services for Generali group in the acquisition of Apollo Business Center IV in Bratislava, complete legal representation of CFE Slovakia in development of residential housing complex Vinohradis in Bratislava, legal advice for IMMORENT Group on logistics centre development, legal service for Jungheinrich on land acquisition and warehouse construction, representation of the German organization for the protection of broadcasters in legal dispute with the leading Slovak cable provider and representation of Slovenské elektrárne in dispute for payment of compensation for a rationalization suggestion.

Peter graduated from Faculty of Law at Comenius University in Bratislava. He became a member of the Slovak Bar Association in 2001. In 2002 he became a partner at the law firm Zelenay & spol. In April 2006 he was the founding partner at the law firm Beláňová & Bak. In 2007 he was the founding partner at the law firm BBH advokátska kancelária and acted as managing director for several years. He is frequently requested to provide his expert opinion for the most significant economic weekly in Slovakia.

He is fluent in English and Slovak.

Martin focuses primarily on complex and detailed analyses of the legislative environment. He has extensive experience in real estate law, construction law, legal due diligences, real estate transactions and M&A agenda, including practical experience in court, arbitration and administrative proceedings. Martin participated in one of the largest real estate transactions in Slovakia for the past three years. His area of expertise includes company law with main focus on contractual law.

Martin’s professional experience is supported by his knowledge of various legislations and institutes he acquired during his studies in United Kingdom. He completed his studies with honours and was awarded the Law Course Tutor’s Prize. Recently he focuses on competition law with respect to illegal practices restricting competition and also on specific aspects of providing financial services.

He graduated from Faculty of Law of Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice and from Coventry University in United Kingdom, LLM International Business Law.

He is fluent in English, German and Slovak.

Mária has substantial expertise in the area of real estate transactions. She acquired extensive experience as a team member at one of the largest real estate transactions in Slovakia for the past three years. She participated in several M&A projects in real estate and telecommunications including legal due diligence. She further gained expert knowledge and experience in providing strategic consulting in litigations and out of court settlements in the field of company law, as well as in preparation of in-depth analyses concerning the exercise of shareholders’ and participants’ rights in business companies.

She gained legal skills in the area of waste management legislation and operation of waste management collective schemes. She has detailed knowledge of legislation and practice of the Office for personal data protection of the Slovak Republic, including experience with preparation of complete documentation. She is also expert on protection of personality rights, especially at the level of assertion of claims for compensation for non-pecuniary harm related to interference with these rights.

Mária is highly active in the academic and pedagogical field. In 2011 she attended a study program at University of Warsaw with focus on comparison of the recodification process of civil law of the Visegrad Four countries. Since 2012 she has continues her postgraduate studies in Warsaw focusing on comparison of recodification work on the new Civil Codes of the Visegrad Four countries with focus on the comparison of legal regulation of the institute of trusts in the new Czech and Hungarian Civil Codes. She lectured on this topic at international academic conferences both in Czech Republic and Slovakia.

She graduated from Faculty of Law at Comenius University in Bratislava and from study program at Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw in Poland.
